Venezuela is reporting a significant increase in the number of malaria cases making it, according to WHO, the country with the highest increase in the world in 2018. A mosquito borne disease, travellers to Venezuela should seek advice from a travel doctor prior to departure in regards to mosquito avoidance and the need for anti-malaria medications.
